Polichshuk, Stanislav ; Bendová, Eva (advisor) ; Pech, Milan (referee)
People have long been attracted to mystical stories. Russian fairy tales, saturated with Russian mysticism and symbols, deserve special attention. These works significantly contributed to the formation of Russian symbolism as a stylistic expression. The work examines the connection between Russian fairy tales and the emergence of an independent artistic style in painting at the end of the 19th century - Russian symbolism through the personalities of artists Viktor Vasnetsov, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Borisov-Musatov. The subject of the work will also be a chapter on the historical, political and social situation of Russia in the 1870s and 1890s, which influenced the emergence of style together with artists. How did the elements of symbolism manifest themselves in other Russian art? Who exactly were avant-garde artists influenced by symbolism? This bachelor thesis will look for answers.

Fairytales as literature and film
ŠTĚCHOVÁ, Sára
The aim of the Bachelor's thesis is to compare written and filmed fairy tales. Specifically, the thesis deals with the different perceptions of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm compared to those of Walt Disney. The theoretical part explains the difference between literature and film. From the origins of literature to the creation of film itself. Basic facts and differences will be given for each of these aspects. The practical part of the paper will focus on the comparison of the historical fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, based on the two selected fairy tales, with the fairy tales of the media conglo-merate Walt Disney. The two fairy tales selected are Locik and Cin-derella. The focus of this section is to compare the plot of these fairy tales. Whether the plot has been changed due to the writing style of the Brothers Grimm in the film. Whether this plot was influenced by the time in which these fairy tales were written? Then we compare which characters are missing from the plot or which additional characters are included. And how this affected the actual course of the plot. At the end of the paper, there is a short summary of the entire work and an evaluation of whether the goal was achieved.
Fairytales about selfdetermination.
Sachrová, Tereza ; Babáková, Bernardeta (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis I present a text named Tales from Beztrudy land in an author book. It’s 12 stories about Lutynka and Hynek living in an abandoned narrow gauge railway near a train station in a land called Beztrudy. They live with eighteen dogs, with a cat without one leg Prlenka, with half dog half fox Bařinka and one domesticated bird. Together with their friends, they face everyday problems (getting food, changing seasons, growing a group of dogs, bottling honey, going to the ball, etc.), as well as traumas, social abnormalities, problems with the dominance of the powerful or the absence of a stable background for life. The setting of the stories - Beztrudy is a paraphrase of the Beskydy Mountains, which are the main inspiration for the stories. The goal of the thesis was to create an ecofeminist text similar to fairy tale series, which would thematize non-hierarchical interpersonal relationships, the relationship with nature or coping with abandonment. In the text part of the thesis, I also deal with the role of dialect in society or when working with language. Furthermore, I thematize here the eternal struggle to preserve the integrity of the landscape and the role of this theme in fairy tale production.
